Baylor was a place where I made many friends that have been influential in my life. Dr. Karen Pope in the Art History department. My major classes were taught by Dr. Pope. I also traveled with her to Chicago and Paris to study art. Her enthusiasm for art made it quite enjoyable. She also said that "Art history is like a puzzle. For us as art historians, we always keep trying to find the pieces that can be put together." I was educated in the automotive industry by my dad, and had to work at the dealership in the summer. I worked as a mechanic assistant during the summer months, performing oil changes and brakes.
